Crisp extends the deployment of Crunchyroll beta, a new registration beta experience for Crunchyroll web users worldwide. The new web experience was introduced to users in the United States earlier this year, and users around the world can now enjoy a new design, new features for better personalization, and better discovery of dubbed content.
The full list of new features in Crunchyroll Beta includes:
- Updated Crunchyroll UI: Crunchyroll Beta offers anime fans a new UI within the Crunchyroll homepage, including personalized recommendations and seamless navigation to watchlists or web pages. ‘specific shows or episodes.
- Improved Personalization: International Crunchyroll users can now find personalized anime recommendations from the homepage, tailored specifically to their unique viewing histories. Users can also add more anime flair to their experience with an organized library of avatars and header images showcasing their favorite series, including JUJUTSU KAISEN, Tokyo Revengers, Dr STONE, Bananya, and more.
- Improved Discovery: Fans can more easily access new and existing voiceovers, explore different genres, find current simulcast and popular anime titles with the improved search and filter functionality. In addition to the new search bar, Crunchyroll will continue to offer curated collections across all regions, handpicked by local Crunchyroll anime experts.
- Increased Availability of Crunchylists: This new feature allows fans to create an organized collection of their favorite animated series. Fans can add a title to their unique Crunchylist creations, add any series or select episodes from Crunchyroll’s vast collection of over 1,000 series, and organize their Crunchylist as they see fit.
To experience Crunchyroll Beta, eligible Crunchyroll users can register through header images or pop-ups that appear on the Crunchyroll website. For starters, Crunchyroll Beta is available for 10% of premium and free users, and will eventually become available to all premium subscribers and free users worldwide outside of Asia over the coming weeks. Fans can switch between the Beta and Crunchyroll Classic experience as they wish and are encouraged to share their comments in the “Leave Comments” feature under their profile header.
Crunchyroll is available in over 200 countries and territories, with simultaneous translation in eight languages. Fans can watch cartoons for free with advertisements or can choose from two different subscriptions that provide ad-free viewing experience, access to popular simulcast titles on the day and date of the premiere in Japan, offline viewing , and more.
